Our Story

Our journey started together in New Zealand where Jamie comes from.

We both love nature and a Swiss horticulturalist and a New Zealand dairy farmer made the perfect match.

Initially we worked together on a large scale dairy farm in New Zealand and then moved to Switzerland for a short stint of work and travelling to different parts of the world.

Ten years ago, we took up a job offer on a dairy farm here in south west Victoria, Australia which has become our home. Then our family grew and we had three beautiful children.

We believe in self-sufficiency and have made this the foundation of our lifestyle. We have always grown and preserved our own food and enjoy creating our meals according to the season.

Our children have been on this journey with us every step of the way. As they have grown, they have been involved in all aspects of farming and growing our food.

We are teaching them to be self-sufficient and home schooling has been an important part of their upbringing. 

We are proud of our children, our farm and our produce. 

The result of a passion that we could not contain which became Drakes` Fresh Produce.
