Big Projects and Busy Days

This week has been all hands on deck!

Our friend from Switzerland has arrived, and he’s been quick to lend a helping hand.

One of the first big jobs was tackling the chicken run—our many roosters, who have been enjoying a generous supply of grain, have now found their way to the freezer.

A necessary step in keeping things balanced on the farm!

Next on the project list was our newly acquired second-hand cool store. It made its way here from Timboon, but when it was dropped off in the middle of the lawn, we knew that wasn’t going to be its final resting place!

A major cleanout of the packing shed followed so we could move the cool store into position. It’s in place now, and we’re just waiting on the electrician to get it up and running.

And after two and a half years, we’re finally giving our washing line area a much-needed upgrade! With winter on the way, the goal is to have a solid, mud-free path so we can get in and out without dragging the farm inside with us.

With everything going on, there wasn’t time for a new meal inspiration this week—but rest assured, we’ll be back to it soon!
