Reflecting on a busy week…
Monday kicked off with a radio interview on ABC Ballarat talking to Steve Martin on the Breakfast show about our upcoming self sufficiency 6 module course.
On Tuesday four of us hit the city.
We went to The Reed/AGHA Trade & Gift Fair.
Located at the MCEC, hundreds of wholesalers were there to showcase their products, beautifully displayed for us retailers to look, touch, connect and ultimately buy.
We did a lot of walking, looking, talking — but not so much buying…
On Wednesday we hosted a group of farmers.
First up was a paddock walk, checking out pastures and multi-species crops, followed by a patch to plate lunch and dessert before we crunched some numbers.
Thursday was finally back to some normality, catching up on some schooling, working in the garden and celebrating our Beckie’s 13th birthday.
Our almost booked out Patch to Plate dinner is set for Saturday August the 16.
Hearty Beef Ragu with either mash potato or gnocchi, and for dessert we will have self-saucing chocolate pudding with homemade vanilla ice cream.
Book your tickets, pay thirty bucks and you’ll be in for a treat!
Our 6 module “Becoming More Self Sufficient” course is back on — for more info check out our webpage and book directly through me.
We are offering one in Warrnambool and one here at the Barn.
Both start on the third weekend in August.
Book soon to not miss out…
Come to the Barn tomorrow, the fire will be going — open from 11–5.
We are serving at the Barn:
Coffee & cake
Beef lasagna with a side salad
Minestrone soup & bread
Cauliflower–leek soup
See you at the Barn
