Our third brunch was a great success and it was such a joy to see the barn filled with very keen breakfast/lunch participants. The atmosphere was relaxed and warm, plates were full, conversations flowed and it was clear that everyone truly enjoyed their morning with us.
There is just one more brunch on offer this coming Monday 26. January, from 8:30–12, and bookings are essential as places are limited.
We are also squeezing in an Open Garden with wood-fired pizzas on Sunday 1 February, from 10–4, with pizzas coming out of the oven between 12–2pm. A casual day to wander the garden, enjoy the space and share good food.
Looking ahead, our next Patch to Plate Dinner is planned for Friday 14 February. It will be a BBQ night with vegetarian and gluten-free options, followed by dessert. Seats are limited, so make sure you book ahead. Tickets are $30 per adult.
In the garden, our focus this week has been the eco garden. We spent time weeding, mulching and keeping up with watering as well as general maintenance. It’s steady work, but incredibly satisfying to see the space slowly come together.
Preserving season has also begun again. Our beetroot chutney has made a return to the shelves, and we’ve created a 100% strawberry sauce that’s already a favourite. It’s perfect with ice cream, yoghurt or stirred through smoothies.
The barn will be open tomorrow from 11–5, and we’ll be serving:
Coffee & cake
Beef burger with potato and mixed greens salad
Pumpkin & feta quiche
See you at the barn 🌱
