Three years in the making!

After a good soak of rain over the weekend, the patch wasn’t exactly the place to be for much garden work.
So instead, we focused on mulching our citrus, olive, and avocado orchard.
Some of the trees have been in for a while, but the proper setup had stayed on the to-do list—until now.
Today we quietly celebrate three years on this property. I’m in awe of what we’ve built here and carry a very thankful heart for all that’s unfolded.
It’s no secret that this season has been tough on our dairy farm. But we continue to hold on to the promises we base our life on and keep going.
Our next Patch to Plate dinner is coming up—Saturday, August 16.
We’ll be serving hearty beef ragu with your choice of gnocchi or mash, followed by self-saucing chocolate pudding and homemade vanilla ice cream.
Book your tickets—$30—and come enjoy a night with community, great food, and warmth.
Our 6-module Becoming More Self-Sufficient course is also back.
We’re offering one in Warrnambool and one here at the Barn.
Both start on the third weekend in August.
Spots are limited—check the website or book through me directly.
Come to the Barn tomorrow—the fire will be going and we’re open from 11–5.
We are serving at the barn:
Coffee & Cake
Spätzli with roasted pumpkin and leek
Minestrone Soup & Bread
Cauliflower–Leek Soup
Looking forward to see you.
