A Full Week
This week was full. Really full.
Sometimes I wonder how we actually get it all done!
Tuesday brought us a pretty big meeting with our farm consultant. There was a lot to cover, and having someone from the outside sit down with us is always helpful.
We were able to nut out some of the bigger, longer-term things, as well as the decisions that matter right now and sometimes need to be made almost instantly.
Some of it is exciting, some of it is hard, and some of it is simply business.
Either way, I know we are in good hands, and my faith will continue to carry us along.
In between everything else, I managed to squeeze in a few hours up in the paddock. The red currant bushes needed pruning, and I tied up the boysenberries.
The boys recently had the fencing gear out and built me some structures for the berries, so hopefully we’ll see plenty of fruit later in the summer.
There’s always something to look forward to in the garden.
On Thursday, we hosted a group of people who, like myself, are participating in a five-module Resilient Farming course run by Heytesbury District Landcare.
We also had the privilege of providing the catering. It was a lot of fun putting the food together, although, as always, catering for a group is a little bit of work too!
Another full week behind us, and somehow Friday night has arrived again.
