This week Jamie and I stepped away from the farm and everyday work life for a much-needed little break.
With our children well cared for, we enjoyed some time just for ourselves — exploring, eating good food, and resting.
We didn’t venture too far, but our tiny home stay in Killarney was the perfect escape.
A soak at the Deep Blue in Warrnambool left us with warm bones, and a few meals at lovely restaurants kept us well-fed and content.
It was a wonderful way to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary — a milestone that we are very grateful for.
Back at the Barn, our Patch to Plate dinner was a great success.
We’re already looking ahead to the next one on Saturday, 11th October, supported by Look Over the Farm Gate. Tickets are just $20 and spots are limited.
On the menu: hearty casserole with homegrown veggies, served with polenta or the all-time favourite mashed potatoes, a fresh seasonal salad buffet, and a treat we couldn’t resist — lemon meringue pie for dessert.
Book your seat soon, it’s going to be a delicious evening!
In the greenhouse, our seedlings are ready to go — silverbeet, lettuce, kohlrabi, and spinach are all coming along nicely, with more to follow as the season progresses.
✨ Barn Open this Saturday from 11–5 ✨
On the menu:
Coffee & Cake
Casserole and Polenta
Pumpkin Spinach Lasagna (GF available)
See you soon at the Barn
