Big Digs and Cool Progress

This week we turned our attention to the potato patch—and what a job it was!
We brought out our trusty little 31hp tractor, complete with a pre-war attachment that still works like a charm.
As it trundles along, a blade digs beneath the soil while a series of rattling chains lift the spuds to the surface, ready for us eager harvesters to pick them up.
There’s something deeply satisfying about this old-meets-new way of doing things.
Another exciting development on the farm: our second-hand walk-in fridge, which we purchased a while ago from the Timboon Ice Creamery, is officially up and running!
The electricians came this week to wire it all up, and now we have a fully functional cool room.
This is a big step forward for keeping our produce fresh and storing bulk harvests properly.
Running a small business is a lot like raising children—it keeps growing, evolving, and teaching you something new every day.
And since we’re doing both, there’s certainly no shortage of growth around here!
