Spring in full swing!

The greenhouse is filling up quickly with seedlings, and this week we finally started planting in the patch.

Timing couldn’t have been any better — we managed to get the seedlings into the ground on Tuesday afternoon, just before a beautiful soaking of rain arrived.

The wind that followed on Wednesday was another story altogether!

Thankfully, we had tied up the broad beans and escaped with only minimal damage.

It feels good to see life returning to the garden again.

Each week brings a few more trays of seedlings and the promise of a busy growing season ahead.

Our next Patch to Plate Dinner is coming up on Saturday, 8 November, from 6pm onwards.

We’re serving Lasagna Night — with both meat and vegetarian options — followed by Panna Cotta with spiced plums for dessert.

Seedlings are available for purchase too, and if you’re in need of a good fertiliser, look no further. We use and sell BIOLINK, a locally made range that’s also locally owned.
