Waiting on the Weather, Planning Ahead

Not much has changed this week—between the steady rain and this morning’s frost, the patch is still off-limits. As frustrating as it can be to wait, patience really can pay off.
And wearing our dairy-farmer hat as well as our veggie-grower hat, we won’t complain about a single drop.
After the tough seasons we’ve had growing grass, this weather feels like provision in slow motion, and we are grateful for it.
With so much time spent indoors, our hands might not be in the soil, but our minds certainly are. We’ve been busy planning something new and exciting for summer: Breakfasts at the Barn!
Throughout January—every Tuesday, and on Monday for Australia Day—we’ll be hosting a Buffet Brunch from 8:30am–12pm.
$30/adult, kids under 5 free, and ages 5–12 are $15.
You can book directly through us for now; website bookings will follow shortly. More details coming soon, but we’re already looking forward to it.
Our next Patch to Plate Dinner is coming up soon too—Friday, December 6th at 6pm, the final one for this year.
We’re planning a cosy Pie Night, followed by a scrumptious strawberry yoghurt slice for dessert. Spots are filling fast, so secure your booking if you’re keen.
SEEDLINGS LAST WEEK!
Tomatoes, capsicum, eggplant, zucchini, cucumber and pumpkin seedlings are ready to go.
We also have herbs and plenty of veggie varieties available.
And if your soil needs a boost, we stock BIOLINK fertilisers—local, effective, and now a staple in our own growing.
Ask for the full list; there’s lots to choose from.
Barn open tomorrow, Saturday,
from 11–5
We are serving:
• Coffee & Cake
• Tomato–Mince–Rice Pot
• Pumpkin–Feta Quiche
See you at the Barn
