A week of small Gatherings

This week had a slightly different rhythm with the public holiday in the middle.
Since we’re not too keen on watching horses go around in circles, we decided to open up the Barn instead. The weather wasn’t exactly on our side, but we enjoyed welcoming a few visitors who came through for coffee and to pick up some seedlings.
Thursday was spent mostly in the kitchen, preparing for the small market in Cobden. It was lovely to be part of Alderwood Manor’s late-night shopping event — a cosy evening filled with local art, craft, and food.
Our next self-sufficiency workshop, “Nurturing Growth,” is coming up soon. We’ll explore how to prepare for the warmer months ahead with mulching and irrigation, and we’ll spend some time on caring for a herb garden and the many ways to use herbs at home.
Our Patch to Plate dinner is, once again, sold out! Thank you for the continued support. We’ll host one more for the year on December 6th — details coming soon.
Seedlings:
Tomatoes, capsicum, eggplant, zucchini, cucumber, and pumpkin seedlings are ready to go.
Herbs and other veggies are available too, and don’t forget — we stock Biolink fertiliser, perfect for giving your soil a boost.
Request the full list if you’d like to see what’s growing.
Barn open this Saturday, 11–5
We’re serving:
Coffee & Cake
Beef Lasagna
Pumpkin–Feta Quiche
See you at the Barn
